An autopsy was released on the body of Jeffrey Epstein and the findings were interesting. The autopsy showed that Epstein suffered from multiple broken bones in his neck that are commonly found in homicide by strangulation.
The Washington Post noted, “Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said.”
The Post noted that Medical Examiner Sampson’s office is wanting video evidence of the hallway of the jail the night of Epstein’s murder to rule out possibility of homicide.
The Washington Post wrote, “People familiar with the autopsy, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive stage of the investigation, said Sampson’s office is seeking additional information on Epstein’s condition in the hours before his death. That could include video evidence of the jail hallways, which may establish whether anyone entered Epstein’s cell during the night he died; results of a toxicology screening to determine if there was any unusual substance in his body; and interviews with guards and inmates who were near his cell.”
The Washington Post pointed out a significant statistic that draws serious questions to the death of Jeffrey Epstein. The Post noted that varying studies covering committed suicide found that 6-25% of them break the hyoid bone. This is the same broken bone in Jeffrey Epstein’s neck.
The autopsy deepens the speculation into the death of Jeffrey Epstein. The broken hyoid bone can happen from hanging oneself, but it is rare when that happens. Percentages favor Epstein could have been strangled to death with the broken bones in his neck.
Epstein was claimed to hang himself in his jailcell with his bedsheet from his bunk bed. Also, it was reported the guards on shift lied about their logs and fell asleep for three hours.
The New York Post wrote, “Jeffrey Epstein was found hanging in his lower Manhattan jail cell with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck and secured to the top of a bunk bed, The Post has learned.”
The Post continued, “The convicted pedophile, who was 6 feet tall, apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangling himself with the makeshift noose, law enforcement sources said Monday. He hadn’t been checked on for several hours, sources said. Epstein was “unresponsive” when he was discovered in his cell at the Special Housing Unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, the federal Bureau of Prisons has said.”
The New York Times wrote, “The two correctional officers in the special housing unit where Mr. Epstein was held — 9 South — falsely recorded in a log that they had checked on the financier, who was facing sex trafficking charges, every 30 minutes, as was required. Such false entries in an official log could constitute a federal crime.”
The New York Times continued to note that the guards fell asleep for three hours during their shift where Epstein hung himself. The guards were also reported to be over worked and highly understaff. However, that is no excuse for sleeping on your job while you are being paid by tax payers. These guards will likely be fired from their jobs.
