Democrats now call giving a House Opening Prayer is offensive. This comes after Tuesday swear in for the first Muslim woman representative in Philadelphia.
Republican Pennsylvania State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz opened up the House with a beautiful prayer to Jesus (which is a great thing) before anyone was sworn into office. This outraged Democrats because they viewed this as an assault against Muslim people.
Borowicz thanked Jesus, “the King of Kings; the Lord of lords; the great I Am; the One who’s coming back again; the One who came, died, and rose again on the third day,” for the honor of being His ambassador, asked forgiveness on behalf of America for forgetting Him and for Him to heal the country, praised Him for President Donald Trump’s support of Israel and declared that “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow.”
Democrats were outraged including the main stream media, but the first Muslim woman to be sworn in had to use this as a personal attack on her.
“I thought that for the most part, the entire invocation was offensive,” Johnson-Harrell the first Muslim woman to be sworn in said.
