Elizabeth ‘Fauxcahontas’ Warren Gave a town hall for CNN in Mississippi for her 2020 campaign on Monday night. During the townhall she supported the idea of abolishing the electoral college vote.
Ironically the people in attendance cheered for this idea while being in Mississippi. If the electoral college is removed Mississippi would become a useless state that no candidate would care about their needs.
Warren stated, “My view is that every vote matters. And the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting, and that means get rid of the Electoral College.”
“Come a general election, presidential candidates don’t come to places like Mississippi, they also don’t come to places like California or Massachusetts, because we’re not the battleground states,” she said.
The founding fathers placed the electoral college vote in as an amendment because we are a Republic and not a Democracy. The founding fathers hated the idea of a Democracy because it is tyranny of the majority over the minority.
It is also worth noting that a President can’t remove the electoral college vote. The only way to remove the electoral college is to get 38 states to want the removal. Good luck getting a bunch of small states signing up for that.
