A woman attended a Connecticut Gun hearing, where she was thrown out for texting she wanted to blow away a Republican and NRA groups on Monday.
The woman was spotted sending the text and took a picture of her message. The text read, “If I had a gun, I’d blow away Sampson and a large group of NRA.”
The Republican the woman targeted is Connecticut state Sen. Rob Sampson, who is a staunch second amendment supporter. The threat was taken seriously enough that she was removed from the hearing, but it is unclear to the severity of her punishment.
The Daily Caller outlined what the agenda of the gun hearing was over.
- An update to safe storage laws
- A measure requiring anyone open-carrying a firearm to produce a permit if asked by police
- A move to regulate “ghost guns” or 3-D printed firearms and components
- A bill prohibiting cities and towns to enact their own firearms laws
