Ann Coulter has been rough on President Trump in order to get the wall, but she is coming back on the side of the President once he announced his National Emergency to build the wall. Now she is on the attack against the Republicans who are opposing the President’s National Emergency. In particular Coulter’s eyes are set on Kentucky Senator Rand Paul for his cowardice way of opposing the wall.
Coulter stated to talk radio host Howie Carr about the individuals in the GOP who opposed the wall, “And that’s why I do not think it is principled at all … for Rand Paul to be voting against the National Emergency declaration. Look, I know this may sound principled to the libertarian types, but I’m sorry – it is an emergency just because no one else was willing to deal with it, no other president.”
Coulter continued, “Compare it to every other declared National Emergency and ask how many Americans were being killed by those National Emergencies compared to this National Emergency. I don’t think this is principled at all. For those of you who know anyone who votes in Kentucky, you should tell them to call and complain to Senator Rand Paul.”
Breitbart News noted, “Paul joins Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Susan Collins (R-ME) and 47 Senate Democrats in opposing Trump’s national emergency declaration at the southern border. Senators Mitt Romney (R-UT), Cory Gardner (R-CO), and Marco Rubio (R-FL) have yet to say how they will vote.”
Rand Paul believes there are 10 GOP Senators who are going to vote against the national emergency wall.
