Democrats have been hammering Conservatives and President Trump over the Trump tower meeting with Russians. The Democrats claim Donald Trump Jr. called then candidate Trump over while the meeting was occurring to relay messages, but new reports show that narrative has went to hell in a hand basket.
Evidence showed that Donald Trump Jr. was on the phone with two blocked numbers during a meeting between a Russian lawyer, joined by Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort. Democrats speculated that the blocked numbers were to then candidate Donald Trump. The meeting was claimed to be in an attempt to gain dirt on Hillary Clinton.
CNN reported that they blocked numbers were revealed and it is not President Trump. The calls were to two unnamed business associates, according to “three sources with knowledge of the matter.”
“Records provided to the Senate Intelligence Committee show the calls were between Trump Jr. and two of his business associates, the sources said, and appear to contradict Democrats’ long-held suspicions that the blocked number was from then-candidate Donald Trump.”
CNN continued to report,
“The documents showing the calls were not with then-candidate Trump could resolve a key line of inquiry that House Democrats have said they want to get to the bottom of this year now that they are the majority party and have control of investigations.”
