President Trump announced he is going to sign the bill to re-open the government for three weeks. Trump made this announcement on Friday afternoon at the Rose Garden. The Government will stay open until February 15th with the agreed upon deal. President Trump announced he will make sure every Federal Employee will get their back pay immediately.
However, the deal does not include any funding for a wall to be built or border security. Trump claimed the negotiations for border wall and security will continue during this three week time frame. It is unlikely Democrats will be willing to bend on a wall or security at the border, especially now they will believe Trump folded on his stance.
President Trump claimed if there is no funding for the wall he will re shut down the Government on February 15th. Trump claimed he may decide to not shut down the Government and announce a National Emergency to get the wall.
