It has been released that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent surgery to remove cancerous nodules from her lungs on Friday.
The report stated, “Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a pulmonary lobectomy today at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Two nodules in the lower lobe of her left lung were discovered incidentally during tests performed at George Washington University Hospital to diagnose and treat rib fractures sustained in a fall on November 7.”
The Supreme Court stated, “Justice Ginsburg is resting comfortably and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days.”
Fox News noted Ruth Bader Ginsburg recent Health scares, “Ginsburg, 85, has survived a series of health scares. She also broke two ribs in a fall in 2012, has had two prior bouts with cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014. Despite the issues, Ginsburg has yet to miss a single day of oral arguments during her tenure, The Washington Post reported.”
It is unknown the severity at this moment on if she will continue on the Supreme Court or step down due to health issues, but we can all agree Ruth Bader Ginsburg is tough as nails and will continue to work if she feels capable.
