Ocasio-Cortez Misquotes Constitution While Talking About Presidential Run!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wonders why Conservatives are always focused on what she says, but seems to never wonder why she always says stupid things. Ocasio Cortez does make nearly an article a day on “Preserve Conservative Values,” to a point there had to be a limit set on how many article can be written about her. The problem is she makes at minimum one statement that is wildly uneducated that it’s impossible to not write about her often.

Ocasio Cortez had a photo shoot with Politico where she and the photographer joked around about a run for President. Ocasio-Cortez during the joking around radically misquoted the Constitution,

Photographer joked, “You can’t even run for president for another six years.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded, “No, not for a long time. Thank God. Although we’ve been joking that because the Equal Rights Amendment hasn’t been passed yet, the Constitution technically says he cannot run unless he’s 35. … So what we’ll do is we’ll force the Republican Party to pass the Equal Rights Amendment by threatening to run for president.”

Photographer, “That is awesome. All the people who say a literal interpretation of the Constitution is the only thing you should be paying attention to.”

Ocasio-Cortez, “Exactly, all those Constitutionalists, I will keep vigilance.”

The Constitution does not in fact say “He” but states “Person.” The clause of the Constitution, Article II Section I, is read below.

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.
