Robious Middle School in Virginia, has decided to join the war on Christmas by banning Christmas songs that mention Jesus. Parents of this school are outraged by the school’s decision in the name of inclusion to break an American tradition of singing Christmas songs.

NBC 12, received an e-mail from a father whose child attends the school, David Allen. In the email Allen stated, “We had a few students who weren’t comfortable singing a piece I have done many times in the past, but it is of a sacred nature and does mention Jesus.”

All continued in the email claiming the school removed the songs in an attempt to “be more sensitive to the increasingly diverse population at the school.”

Allen said, “It just seems like … everywhere you look everyone’s afraid of stepping on someone’s toes or everything is being so sensitive. I’m trying to rationalize how you can encourage diversity and yet be exclusionary in one specific area.”

Allen stated, “All can get a feel of [what] each individual religion, ethnicity and nationality have to offer. It’s a school, it’s a learning educational experience. I wouldn’t object to my children singing Hindu songs during their celebratory period of time.”

Allen finished, “Federal courts have upheld the constitutionality of public school holiday programs that include the use of religious music, art, or drama, so long as the material is presented in an objective manner ‘as a traditional part of the cultural and religious heritage of the particular holiday.’”

17,000 parents signed a petition for the school to add back in songs that include Jesus for their Christmas special. It will unlikely overturn their initial ruling due to the radicalization of School administrations. School administrators typically are to the left and non religious.

  1. Every year, Christians are told to shut up. The name of Jesus, Christ, and Christmas are removed from songs.

Now that we are doing everything to accommodate Muslims, will they be asked to not mention Muhammad during Ramadan?
