President Trump spent majority of his time in the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina talking to Chinese Communist President (Dictator) discussing details in their trade war. President Trump and President Xi Jinping spent 2.5 hours discussing the details of the negotiations of trade between the two rival countries. They agreed to hold off the trade war and any new sanctions in order to gain more time in negotiations, Trump called the meeting “amazing and productive.”
President Xi announced China will buy more agriculture products from American farmers and spend more on American energy. The specific details to the entire deal has not be laid out for public to see but it seems the deal was correcting the unfair trade practices from China.
Trump announced, “This was an amazing and productive meeting with unlimited possibilities for both the United States and China. It is my great honor to be working with President Xi.”
In return of China’s cooperation Trump announced he will hold off his tariff of a 25% hike on Chinese made goods for 90 days that was set to take place on January 1st. The extra time was given to extend negotiations for the two countries.
China’s willingness to negotiate shows President Trump is winning in his trade war with China that will likely come to an end in 90 days with a fair deal for both countries.
