Former President George H.W. Bush has passed away over night in Houston at the age of 94. Bush Sr. was the 41st President from 1988-1992, and President Reagan’s Vice President from 1980-1988.
The Bush family announced the unfortunate passing of their Patriarch on Friday night, only months after his wife of 73 years passed away.
43rd President and Son George W. Bush released a statement, Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens.”
President Trump released a statement about the passing of George H.W. Bush on Twitter.
President Trump and First Lady Melania released a joint statement as well.
America has lost a Patriot and an American hero today, but rest assured he is with his beloved wife Barbra today.
