Jim Acosta had his White House hard pass revoked from the White House after he got into a spat with President Trump. Soon after Acosta and CNN filed a lawsuit against the White House to regain his pass. The case was heard in front of a Judge on Friday and Judge Kelly ruled in favor of Jim Acosta.
Reporter for Buzzfeed Paul McLeod attended the court case where he reported live on Twitter. McLeod reported that Judge Kelly ruled Acosta’s first amendment right was not trounced, but he did not receive fair due process. However, his First Amendment rights do come into play when the White House opens doors to reporters.
The Judge ruled the White House must give Acosta his pass back, but the case is not closed and more hearings are expected to come.
