Alaska Senator Lisa Myrkowski back stabbed the entire Republican party and voters by voting “NO” on Brett Kavanaugh on Friday, and likely to vote “NO” again on the final vote Saturday. This has left a bad taste in many prominent Conservatives demanding for her to follow up with what she promised her state which was be a strong Conservative. However, there is one prominent Conservative that Murkowski should fear, the former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin hinted on Twitter she is considering running against Murkowski in the Republican primary in 2022.
Sarah Palin is popular among Republicans in particular the grass roots movement and would likely win in a landslide vote against Murkowski.
Palin and Murkowski have a history of opposing each other. Murkowski’s father Frank Murkowski was governor of Alaska before Palin and appointed his daughter Lisa Murkowski to the Senate in 2002 over Palin.
Sarah Palin decided to run against Frank Murkowski in the Republican Primary, which led Palin to be the Governor of Alaska from 2006-2009.
Sarah Palin was not the only person to challenge Murkowski in 2022. As reported earlier Laura Ingraham announced on Twitter her intrest in running for Alaska Senator.
