On Friday morning the Senate voted to end the debate on Brett Kavanaugh and bring it to a final vote scheduled for Saturday. As reported earlier two of the weak Republicans Susan Collins and Jeff Flake voted Yes on Kavanaugh but were not sure how they would vote on Saturday. While Republican Lisa Murkowski of Alaska turned her back on the entire party by voting “NO” on Friday while announcing likely Voting “NO” on Saturday.
However, there is some good news Flake and Collins announced how they will be voting on Saturday. Jeff Flake is reported by the Associated Press he will be voting “YES” on Saturday.
Susan Collins released at 3 PM Friday her answer to how she will vote on Saturday. In a speech to the floor Collins announced, “Mr. President, I will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.”
Collins also stated Kavanaugh is an “exemplary citizen, judge, coach, teacher and father.”
Collins finished up stating, “I do not believe that these charges can fairly prevent Judge Kavanaugh from serving on the Court.”
With Flake and Collins voting yes on Brett Kavanaugh it makes the confirmation highly likely.
