Fox News is reporting that Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is heading to the White House with expectations to be fired. The reason for the trip to the White House is over the New York Times report of Rod Rosenstein discussed wearing a wire to try and invoke the 25th amendment against President Trump.
Fox News Reported, “Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is heading to the White House expecting to be fired, sources tell Fox News, in the wake of a report that he suggested wearing a wire against President Trump and invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office last year.”
However, Axios is reporting their sources tell them Rosenstein is resigning from his position.
“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has verbally resigned to Chief of Staff John Kelly in anticipation of being fired by President Trump, according to a source with direct knowledge. Per a second source with direct knowledge: “He’s expecting to be fired,” so he plans to step down.”
More Sources are starting to confirm Rosenstein has verbally resigned from his position to John Kelly.
