Democrats have been labeling Conservatives as the far right since Trump has taken office. Typically what Democrats mean by the label is we are Fascists and Nazis, but does this hold true when held up to the political spectrum. Also, what is the real far-right and the far-left and everything in between on the political spectrum.
How do we define what is far-left and what is far right on the political spectrum. This is rather easy to explain yet many have issues grasping it mainly people on the left.
The further Left on the spectrum the more centralized powerful government with a focus on collectivism, which the most extreme would be Communism.
The further Right on the spectrum the less centralized government with a focus on individualism, which the most extreme would be Anarchy. Non-existent government.
I am sure most of you who are reading this already understand Fascism and Nazism are forms of Socialism with barely any differences in the beliefs and ideas.
Fascism was created by Giovanni Gentile who was a Socialist but felt that it needed some revamping of keeping socialism withing the nation and not outside of the nation. Mussolini is credited with the creation of Fascism he also was a devout Socialist. Fascism embraces a strong centralized Government where the sole purpose is to do what is best for the collective of the people. Fascism wanted to destroy Capitalism from the face of the earth. Fascism nationalizes all industries including healthcare and production. All of these traits are the exact same values as a Socialist. This in fact would make Fascism exclusively far-left wing on the political spectrum.
Nazism (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) is not the same as Fascism, in fact Hitler the creator of Nazism never referred to himself as a Fascist and thought of himself as a Socialist. Mussolini who was a Fascist would not acknowledge Hitler as a Fascist either and did not like Hitler. Nazism believed in a strong centralized Government where the sole purpose is to do what is best for the collective of the people. Nazism wanted to destroy Capitalism from the face of the earth. Nazism nationalized all industries including healthcare and production. Obviously, Nazism is Socialism since Socialist is in the title and they have the exact same political ideas. Therefore Nazism is a far-left wing idea on the political spectrum.
The only differences between Fascism and Nazism and Socialism is Socialism believes in international socialism. While Fascism and Nazism believe in National Socialism.
What is Progressivism? Embraces a strong centralized Government where the sole purpose is to do what is best for the collective of the people. Progressivism wants to destroy Capitalism from the face of the earth. Progressivism wants to nationalize all industries including healthcare and production. All of these traits are the exact same values as a Fascism and Nazism. This in fact would make Progressivism exclusively far-left wing on the political spectrum.
Now that we debunked Fascism and Nazism as far-right but in fact is far left same as a Progressive lets discover what they hate about the far right
What is Conservatism? Conservatism term was created for a meaning of conserving the values of our founding fathers, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. We believe in small limited Government, Capitalism, low taxation, Individualism, American Exceptionalism, belief in God given unalienable rights, and oppose any and all of Progressive, Socialist, Communist ideas. Ex. Nationalizing of industry and healthcare.)
This means if Conservatives are extremists on the far right then Democrats must have viewed the founding fathers as far right wing extremists.
However, their is a far right wing party movement which is the Libertarian party who embrace a far to small of a Government. They are equivalent to the Anti-Federalist, while Conservatives are equivalent to the Federalists.
It is interesting that Democrats/Progressives keep labeling Conservatives as Nazi/Fascists, but now we know they are cousins to those ideas while we oppose them completely.
Here is a break down of the political spectrum for visual help.
From left to right, Communism, Socialism, Nazi, Fascism, Progressive, Centrist, Conservative/Constitutional Republic, Libertarian, Anarchy.
Whenever someone labels conservatives as far right extremists let them know so were the Founding Fathers.
