On Tuesday in Kansas City Missouri a Poll worker refused to allow a man to vote because he was wearing a “Make America Great Again Hat”!
When they demanded him to remove his hat the man rightfully refused to comply. The election poll worker claimed he was not allowed to wear political clothing within 25 feet of the election poll.
However, they misused the law. “The Missouri Secretary of State’s Office said he could, in fact, wear the hat because it doesn’t pertain to this primary election, according to Tiffany Ellison, a director with the Clay County Election Board,” according to the Kansas City Star.
Since, the man was wearing a Donald Trump Hat it did not break any voting laws. Donald Trump was not on any of the Missouri ballots, which means he had all rights to wear Donald Trump clothing.
The Poll Worker was completely in the wrong with either lack of knowledge of the voting laws or trying to turn away known Republican voters. I personally believe it is a combination of both. This worker should never be allowed to work in a poll again.
