President Trump backed and supported 5 different candidates and all 5 candidates won on Tuesday night. This led Trump to Twitter to gloat is victory stating “5 for 5”.
President Trump has had much success with a base that supports his picks. Most Presidents of the past have had difficulty getting candidates they back elected in particular Barrack Obama.
In Ohio: Trump-backed Republican Troy Balderson who got a win in an Ohio special election, defeating Democrat Danny O’Connor. The race was much closer than expected however, a win is still a win no matter how you win.
President Trump-endorsed Kansas gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach In Kansas. Kobach came out with a victory in the Primaries. President Trump also endorsed Josh Hawley in Missouri who won Missouri GOP primaries in a land slide. And in Michigan President Trump endorsed two candidates Bill Schuette and John James.
After President Trumps victories he went to Twitter to give a victory speech.
“The Republicans have now won 8 out of 9 House Seats, yet if you listen to the Fake News Media you would think we are being clobbered. Why can’t they play it straight, so unfair to the Republican Party and in particular, your favorite President!”
“As long as I campaign and/or support Senate and House candidates (within reason), they will win! I LOVE the people, & they certainly seem to like the job I’m doing. If I find the time, in between China, Iran, the Economy and much more, which I must, we will have a giant Red Wave!”
