The Trump Russia collusion drama continues! The FISA Warrants were used to get a surveillance on Carter Page who worked for the Trump campaign. The claim was Carter Page was collecting information on Hillary Clinton from Russia intel.
However, the FISA warrant received by the New York Times through the Freedom of Information Act shows, the FBI was only speculating the Trump campaign gathered intel from Russia with no evident proof. A massive amount of the FISA warrant has been blacked out, but it still was able to show enough evidence the FBI may have colluded with the Democrat Party to bring down then candidate Trump.
According to the new released FISA Warrant the main source “Source #1” is none other than Christopher Steele. Steele was paid by the Democrat National Committee and the Clinton Camp to gather information to create a Dossier, which was given to the FBI claiming Trump camp was gathering intel from Russia.
The Dossier was never confirmed by the FBI but accepted as a trusted source with no follow up investigation according to the Warrant. The FBI did acknowledge in the warrant this could have been information given to discredit candidate number 1 (which is President Trump).
On page 16, quote reads: “The FBI speculates to the FISA court that the U.S. person was likely looking for information that could be used to discredit candidate 1’s campaign.”
It seems Republican Lawmakers concerns from the beginning are true. It is alarming on the grounds how the FBI was able to gain permission to wiretap a presidential candidate campaign with no credible evidence nor intel.
