Tom Steyer ran hedge fund Farallon Capital for 26 years. In 2012 he sold his hedge fund so he could focus on political and environmental activism. According to Forbes he is worth 1.61 Billion dollars as of today. Steyer is an extreme left-wing billionaire activist, who donated 65 million in 2016 to Democrats. And as of recently has pledged 40 million dollars to the ‘Need to Impeach’ campaign in October.
However, Steyer had an interview with Rolling Stone this week, where he claimed, “nuclear war” could provide a “course correction” for the U.S. following Donald Trump’s presidency. During the interview Steyer falsely claims Bush caused harm to the USA and needed to be impeached in 2006. This is when Steyer makes a comment about what he wishes to happen so we can impeach Trump,
“If the answer is that we need those three things to happen for a course correction, I’d prefer to move a little quicker,” Steyer says … But I take your point. Maybe we can have, like, a nuclear war and then we get a real course correction.”
But Steyer quickly backtracked from his rhetoric.
“I should be a little bit more tempered,” he said. “I take back that remark about nuclear war. The correction happened because the United States got screwed, and American citizens lost their houses and American citizens lost their lives – and, by the way, there was a terrible climate-related crisis, New Orleans, that the president [Bush] fumbled.”
This extremism from the left is becoming a daily occurrence and doesn’t show in signs of slowing down!
